Health Authorities Issue Rare 'Global Situation' Alert Over Antibiotic-Resistant Infection The World Health Organization (WHO) issued a "global situation" alert Thursday over a highly dangerous strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae infection that does not respond to antibiotics.
